Release 2608.01·

Developer brief history, bugs on every board and organised phases

This release is about not losing track of things. Developer briefs keep their full history, bugs show up wherever the rest of your work does, a whole selection can go into the active sprint at once, and phases get categories and priority.

Developer brief

Every brief keeps its history, and any version can be restored

Regenerating a developer brief used to overwrite it. Now every version is kept, so you can compare, go back and see where a brief came from.

  • A version history on the Developer Brief tab; restore any earlier version in a click
  • See when each version was generated and by which AI coding tool
  • Regenerate from your AI coding tool, and starting work on a ticket saves a version automatically

All four Konductro plugins gained a regenerate-brief command. Update your plugin to use it.

Delivery

Bugs show up wherever the rest of your work does

  • On the delivery board, grouped under their sprint with a bug pill
  • On the release board and in deployments, recorded as shipped like anything else
  • On the dev board through their whole QA lifecycle

Planning

Move a whole selection into the active sprint

  • Assign to active sprint as a bulk action on the backlog and on a story’s Tasks tab
  • Selecting a story brings its tasks with it
  • Anything already in another sprint is called out, with a summary of what moved

Phases

Categories and priority for a long phase list

  • Define your own categories per project and assign phases to them
  • Set a priority of critical, high, medium or low, shown on the phase card
  • Filter by category on the list and the timeline, and group by status, priority or category
  • Grouping and filters survive a refresh and can be shared by URL

Also new

Other things worth knowing about

  • Delete a task you created without an admin, after seeing what depends on it
  • Add a story or log a bug from the backlog, no longer limited to delivery managers
  • Set your own branch prefixes per project, separately for features and bugs
  • Project settings and your profile are now organised into tabs
  • Automatic estimation of stories as they are decomposed is a per-project setting, off by default
  • Assigning a batch of tasks sends one email, and assigning work to yourself sends none

Quality of life

Fixes you asked for

  • A new project shows a helpful empty dev board instead of a blank one
  • Sprint and repository pickers say when there is nothing to show instead of loading forever
  • Test board filters stay set when you navigate away or refresh
  • The release board only offers work that is ready, and groups anything still in QA separately with a warning
  • Muted text in dark mode is easier to read
  • Archive and delete controls are only shown to admins
